My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Counselling accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I am a member of BACP and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
Prior to my training as counsellor, I received BSc in Physics. Over the years my passion for physics turned into a passion for psychology, as my initial curiosity about the natural world changed into an interest about the human inner world.
My Experience
I have more than ten years of experience working with clients, dealing with a wide range of issues, including:
- Stress, anxiety and panic attacks
- Phobias
- Depression
- Loss and bereavement
- Relationship difficulties
- Lack of confidence or low self-esteem
- Loss of meaning in life
I have carried out extensive research on stress, anxiety and panic attacks. My book 'Freedom from panic attacks' is at the moment in the process of being published.
I also work as a sessional counsellor at the Waterloo Community Counselling, as part of their Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service, providing a professional affordable counselling service for the local community.
